Vernon Rylands Parton 10.2.1897 -- 12.31.1974 was an English chess lover and respected chess variant developer, his most popular version being Alice Chess. Numerous of Parton's versions were encouraged by the fictional personalities and stories in the jobs of Lewis Carroll. Parton's formal education overview, like Lewis Carroll's, was in maths. Parton's passions were vast and he was a wonderful believer in Esperanto.

Parton's early education came from his father's schools, where he also helped. Parton's dad was headmaster of Cannock Grammar School and also primary and proprietor of a little intercontinental boarding school for children. After completing mathematics at Chester Teaching University, Parton went back to his father's school to offer exclusive direction to older kids in Latin, French, German, English, stenography, keying, bookkeeping, and maths. In the 1920s he was left in charge of the school while his dad returned to teach in state schools. Disease cut short Parton's teaching job.

In 1960 Parton relocated from Cannock to Liverpool, into a terraced house near Dollar Street, and released a series of nine monographs from 1961 to 1974 (additionally 1975 posthumously) outlining his developments. He passed away from emphysema at age 77 in Liverpool on 31 December 1974. The very same year, variant innovator Philip M. Cohen produced the variant Parton Chess in his honor. outlook psychic readings via
